Established in 1997,Kathmandu medical College is a private medical college in Nepal.The Kathmandu medical college is permanently affiliated to Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the medical Council of Nepal,Sri Lankan Medical Council,General Medical Council(UK),and Medical Council of India.Kathmandu Medical College has also been listed in the WHO's World Directory of Medical Schools electronic format as of June 2002.

Kathmandu Medical College functions from two complexes:Duwakot Basics Sciences and Sinamangal Clinical Sciences.The Kathmandu medical college Teaching Hospital,located within Sinamangal Clinical Sciences.

Kathmandu medical college ranks no.6 in the top 10 medical colleges of Nepal and Kathmandu medical college ranks no.12223 in the world.The Kathmandu medical college has ample facilities for tutorials.Plenary sessions,lectures are held at kathmandu Medical Colleges five lectures by facilities halls-three recently furnished halls at basic sciences,Duwakot and two for clinical sciences at Sinamangal.

The hostel complex situated for all the students at Kathmandu Medical College's building.There are two hostels at Kathmandu Medical College for the students situated at Duwakot and Sinamangal.Hostel at Kathmandu medical college also gives easy accesibility  to all college services,supporting facilities,counselling services,library admissions,health center,academic and social facilities.
